CATARACTS PART THREE: Cataracts has to do with the crystalline lens of the eye, which is the transparent elastic structure behind the iris. Besides focusing light onto the retina of the eye, the lens also helps shield the eye from harmful light rays such as UV light. When these rays are absorbed they change the clarity of the lens from clear to yellow/cloudy, thus causing cataracts.

CVS or Computer Vision Syndrome consists of blurred vision, dry eyes, eyestrain, headaches, light sensitivity and shoulder/neck pain due to prolonged computer use. Commonly Confused Eye Conditions Part 1: Cataract VS. Glaucoma Cataract: A Cataract is the clouding of the natural lens in the eye. The natural lens is located just behind the colored part of the eye. If the lens becomes clouded , vision will be blurry and glare will likely be a problem. Treatment may be a change in glasses prescription or possibly Cataract surgery to remove the clouded lens and implant a clear lens.
