Drs. Tom & Vasvi Babu

Dr. Tom Babu was born and raised in Springfield, IL. He obtained his biological science degree from Illinois State University in 1989. He then went on to the Illinois College of Optometry, where in 1993 he received his Doctor of Optometry degree, and where he met his wife, Dr. Vasvi Amin Babu. The couple both completed their residency at the renowned Illinois Eye Institute, then relocated to sunny Scottsdale, Arizona where they reside with their two boys, Nicholas and Joshua. Dr. Vasvi Babu was born and raised in the Chicago suburb of Itasca, Illinois. She did her undergraduate work at the University of Illinois, then went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry in 1993. She then completed her residency at the renowned Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, Illinois. After completing her residency at the Illinois Eye Institute she married her husband, Dr.Tom Babu. The couple relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona. The doctors have two boys, Nicholas and Joshua, and the family is kept busy with soccer games, piano lessons, and other school activities.

Dr. Charles Kesner

Dr. Charles E. Kesner II is a caring professional dedicated to providing the highest level of eye health care. Dr. Kesner obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona and was awarded his optometry degree from the University of Missouri-School of Optometry. During his tenure at the University of Missouri, Dr. Kesner completed optometric externships in neuro-ophthalmic, retinal, corneal, glaucoma and cataract training. Additional externships, including training in specialty contact lenses and vision therapy. A resident of the East Valley for over 16 years. Dr. Kesner is a member of the Arizona Optometric Association and enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer. Dr. Kesner also enjoys skiing, surfing, biking, Disney and church activities with family and friends.

Dr. Gino T. Carmolli

Dr. Gino T. Carmolli is a graduate of the Southern College of Optometry Memphis, Tennessee where he graduated with honors. Dr. Carmolli is the youngest of 5 children and was born in Barre, Vermont. He has 2 children, Christina Ann and Anthony Michael from his wonderful wife Donna whom he has been married to for over 30 years. Dr. Carmolli had his own practice in Rochester, New Hampshire for over 20 years and enjoys working with the elderly. He loves to golf, ski, and read.

Dr. Carey Shifrin
Dr. Carey M. Shifrin is a caring professional dedicated to eyecare for all ages. Dr. Shifrin received her bachelor's degree from Bloomsburg University and went on to obtain her degrees in visiual science and was also awarded her optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Having vast experience in the optometry field, we're excited to have Dr. Shifrin join our family. She recently relocated to Arizona with her husband and enjoys hiking, travel and experimenting in the kitchen! Dr. Shifrin looks forward to meeting you and using her expertise to help you with your vision and medical eye care needs. Dr. Shifrin was in private practice in Delaware before relocating to Arizona. She has been practicing for five years.

Dr. Patricia Stamper
Dr. Patricia Stamper has been in practice for over 20 years and did her undergraduate work at Ferris State University in Michigan. She went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry. She has had a prestigious career, including Chief of Optmetry at the Veterans' Administration Hospital in Boise, ID and Chief of Optometry of Mountain Home Air Force Base in Mountain Home, ID. She also had her own private practice in Boise, ID for 16 years before doing a stint as Chief of Optometry in Honduras, treating the underprivileged. Dr. Stamper relocated to Arizona in 2004 to be near her sister and we at 20/20 Image Eye Centers are proud to have her with us!
